I have been in awe of all of the ways that Jesus makes Himself transparent here in Europe. The other day I met a German man on my walk to a friend's house. As I spoke about Jesus He kept saying "your eyes are so bright". Later, in the grocery store, a woman told me "I knew you believed in Jesus because your eyes sparkle." People are healed on the spot, some have visions of heaven and even Jesus Himself. It has been so humbling to live in the midst of revival, seeing Jesus transform lives daily.

As you start your New Years weekend I want to share an encouraging story that took place this week in our community: I met Mina two weeks ago at one of the refugee camps we minister in. She came from Iraq about 6 months ago and is alone in Berlin. As a child she was exposed to mustard gas during a bombing in her village; the gas caused serious growth defects and now, as an adult, she is unable to walk without crutches. When I met Mina she was curious about Christmas. Although she is a muslim, her and her mother used to watch Christmas movies about Santa together. She spoke about how lonely she was feeling in Berlin and asked if we could include her in our Christmas activities. of course I said yes, and invited her to come to a bible study in our apartment as well. A few days later, Mina showed up at my apartment, unsure what to expect. That night we spoke about Jesus and how to hear His voice. Afterwards she asked questions and defended Islam passionately saying "Allah is god and Jesus is just a man." At this point she believed that even touching an injil (the New Testament) was sinful. We told her that Jesus could speak to her Himself and asked if we could pray over her. After praying that she would receive dreams and visions of Jesus- another woman on my ministry team offered to take her to coffee and answer more of her questions. Two days ago, a few people went to visit her at the refugee camp and see how she was doing. Here was their report: "We went to t88 today to visit [Mina]. Remember that we have been praying for her to have dreams of Jesus? Today today she told me she had a dream of Jesus!!! She read the whole book of Matthew and is now in Luke. She says she wishes she could see Jesus. I said she could and was about to pray for her but her roommate came in and she doesn’t like that she is reading the Injil so we sort of ended our time there. But we plan to get together Monday with a translator so pray for breakthrough and salvation!" So a woman who wouldn't even think about worshipping Jesus a few weeks ago can't get enough of Him. This is just one of many stories of Jesus revealing Himself to muslims in Berlin. Everywhere we go there are muslims, and Germans, who are hungry for the gospel and curious about the joy that we carry. We are looking forward to all of the ways the Lord reveals himself in 2018!
